It wasn't just the weather that was hot on Saturday in Allendale, SC; the Hurricane bats were as well. Louisburg (24-21) picked up the Saturday sweep against Region X opponent USC Salkehatchie (21-33).

In game one, Louisburg pounded out 11 hits and set the tone for the series winning 5-1 over the Indians. CJ White led the offensive barrage, hitting 3-for-4 with 1 run scored, 1 RBI, and a homerun. Vinny Bailey, Trey Hicks, and Christian Lowry also recorded multi-hit games. The Canes' offense was relentless on Salkehatchie, scoring in 5 of the 7 innings.

Jason Parker worked his magic on the mound for 7 solid innings, allowing only 3 hits, one walk, and striking out seven.

In game two, Trey Hicks, Zaccheaus Rasberry, and Blake Stewart led the Hurricane hitters to the 8-4 victory. Hicks was 2-for-4 with 1 run scored, 4 RBI, and a homerun. Rasperry was 2-for-4 as well with 2 runs scored, 2 RBI, a double, and a homerun. And not to be outdone, Stewart also hit 2-for-4, hitting a triple and picking up 2 RBI.

The Canes trailed for the last half of the game, but the 5-run 7th inning that gave them the lead and the win was highlighted by two two-run homeruns off the bats of Hicks and Rasberry.
