The Canes were firing on all cylinders Saturday when they traveled to Johnston Community College for tip off at 2pm. Louisburg jumped out to a quick lead with the first quarter finishing with a score of 27-13. The Lady Canes opened up a wide lead in the second quarter outscoring their opponents by 40 points. Johnston fought back in the third quarter cutting the deficit by 6 points but the Canes surged further ahead in the fourth adding another 21 to their lead.
The Canes had seven players in double figures including four players who came off the bench. Ariyanna Brown and Harmony Davidson led with 20 points each. Dasia Gillard and Monique Jones scored 17 and 16 respectively while Rachel Flippen, Nadia Davidson, and Sydni Duncan each added 10 for the Canes.
The team next travels to Patrick Henry on Tuesday for a 5pm tip off.
