Bio

Brice Garand was named the eighth head coach in the history of Louisburg College Softball in November 2025, following a successful fall season leading the Hurricanes as interim head coach.

Garand joined the Louisburg staff prior to the 2024 season as an assistant coach, bringing with her a proven record of success at Florence-Darlington Technical College (FDTC) in Florence, S.C. During her four-year tenure as head coach at FDTC, she compiled an 86–56 overall record, captured the 2024 NJCAA Division I Region 10 Championship, and was named Region 10 Coach of the Year.

Under her leadership, FDTC produced one NJCAA All-American, a Region 10 Player of the Year, and multiple All-Region and All-Academic honorees.

A former student-athlete at FDTC herself, Garand is known for her emphasis on player development, accountability, and team culture—qualities that have defined her coaching career and align with the mission of Louisburg College Athletics.

“Louisburg College is a special place, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to lead this program,” Garand said. “Our players work hard, represent this college with pride, and are committed to getting better every day. I’m excited about what’s ahead for Hurricanes Softball.”
