Men's Basketball Cannot Overcome Turnovers
In the final game of the Jimmy Goldston classic Louisburg College men's basketball faced off against Hagerstown Community College. The Hurricanes were defeated 74-65 after struggling to score in the first half. Hagerstown defense held the Hurricanes to 18 in the first 20 minutes.
Ayinde Taylor II finished with 18 points on 7-13 from the floor. He had 8 total rebounds–5 offensive. Travon Gray added 11 points on 5-11 shooting. He collected 6 total rebounds. Jacob Thornton rounded out Hurricane scorers with 8 points off the bench. He was 3-4 from the floor and 2-2 from 3 PT.
The story of the night was turnovers. The Hurricanes had 21 in the contest. "We need to improve on playing together as a team on offense and limiting our turnovers," said freshman Travon Gray.
Men's Basketball travels to Howard Community College on Friday at 7 and then CCBC Dundalk the following day at 1 pm.
