Hurricanes Honor Sophomores; Turn Attention to Region 10 Tournament
LOUISBURG, N.C. – Louisburg College closed out the regular season Saturday afternoon with an 88–65 loss to Fayetteville Tech Community College inside Roger G. Taylor Arena on Sophomore Night.
Before tipoff, the Hurricanes honored their sophomore class in a pregame ceremony recognizing their dedication and impact on the program. The group has helped lay the foundation for the team's growth over the past two seasons and will be remembered for its leadership and commitment in the classroom and on the court.
Once the game began, Fayetteville Tech used a strong shooting performance to build an early advantage and never allowed Louisburg to fully settle into rhythm offensively. The Hurricanes battled throughout the second half, continuing to compete and attack the glass, but were unable to overcome the Trojans' efficiency on the offensive end.
Despite the setback, Louisburg closes the regular season with a 12–16 overall record and an 8–14 mark in Region 10 play, earning the No. 7 seed in the upcoming Region 10 Tournament.
