Canes' Perfect 6–0 Road Trip; Garand Earns 100th Career Win

The Louisburg College softball team turned in a dominant three-day stretch, winning all six games while competing at Pitt Community College and the North Myrtle Beach Complex.

The highlight of the run came Monday when the Hurricanes defeated Delaware Technical Community College 11–1, giving Louisburg head coach Brice Garand her 100th career victory.

Louisburg showcased its offensive firepower throughout the stretch, combining timely hitting, aggressive baserunning, and strong pitching performances to sweep all six contests.


Hurricanes Sweep Pitt Community College

Louisburg opened the stretch with a doubleheader sweep over Pitt Community College.

In the first game, the Hurricanes rallied late for a 7–5 victory.

Reah Lee powered the offense with a home run and four RBI, while Brittany Gingrich added a three-run homer to help Louisburg erase an early deficit.

In the circle, Reece Pickett delivered strong relief, throwing 4.2 innings and allowing just one run to secure the win.

The Hurricanes followed with an 8–3 victory in the second game.

Sarah Hess led the offense with a home run and three RBI, while Allie Boone added a triple. Emily Clay, Reah Lee, and Aubre Moore each drove in runs as Louisburg collected 13 hits.

Magen Daniels earned the win in the circle, striking out six over five innings before Pickett closed out the game.


Offensive Fireworks in Myrtle Beach

Louisburg continued its strong play Sunday at the North Myrtle Beach Complex.

The Hurricanes defeated Kaskaskia College 10–2, highlighted by a balanced offensive attack.

Savannah Miller had a huge performance, going 4-for-4 at the plate. Emily Clay added two RBI, while Sarah Hess and Aubre Moore also delivered key hits.

Later in the day, Louisburg produced its biggest offensive output of the weekend in a 20–1 victory over Bay College.

The Hurricanes plated 20 runs, drawing 11 walks while creating constant pressure on the basepaths.

Reah Lee drove in two runs and scored three times, while Olivia Martin added two RBI. Contributions came throughout the lineup as Louisburg scored in four of the five innings played.

Kaylie Cook controlled the game in the circle, striking out seven and allowing just one run.


Garand Reaches 100 Career Wins

Louisburg's victory over Delaware Technical Community College was particularly meaningful for the program.

The Hurricanes defeated Delaware Tech 11–1, marking the 100th career win for head coach Brice Garand.

Louisburg jumped out early and never looked back.

Sarah Hess led the offense with three RBI, while Reah Lee added two hits and three RBI, including a triple. Emily Clay, Allie Boone, and Reece Pickett also contributed run-scoring hits.

In the circle, Caylee Stevens tossed five strong innings, allowing just two hits and one run while striking out four.


Hurricanes Close with Another Strong Win

Louisburg finished the stretch with a 9–2 win over Central Lakes College-Brainerd.

After trailing early, the Hurricanes broke the game open with six runs in the sixth inning.

Sarah Hess scored three runs and reached base four times. Allie Boone, Emily Clay, and Marissa D'Antonio each delivered key RBI, while Reece Pickett drove in two runs.

Pickett also shined in the circle, striking out nine batters in 4.2 scoreless innings of relief to seal the win.


Hurricanes Building Momentum

Louisburg's 6–0 stretch showcased the team's offensive depth and pitching versatility. The Hurricanes outscored their opponents by a wide margin during the run while collecting several standout individual performances.

The milestone victory for Coach Garand added another memorable moment to an already impressive weekend for the Hurricanes, who continue to build momentum as the season moves forward.
