Bio
Sarah Leones brings a strong background in player development, club leadership, and game-time coaching to the Louisburg College women’s soccer program.
Leones currently serves as a head coach within the Triangle United Soccer Association, working with U14–U16 girls teams across multiple competitive levels. She has guided teams to multiple NCYSA promotions and tournament titles while developing over 45 players through structured training focused on technical, tactical, physical, and mental growth. She has also worked with nationally ranked teams at the Girls Academy and Developmental Player League levels, supporting training, game strategy, and player evaluation.
In addition to her club experience, Leones has coached at the high school and collegiate levels, including time as an assistant coach at Southern High School and Wake Technical Community College. Across each stop, she has emphasized both athletic development and mentorship, helping student-athletes grow on and off the field.
Leones also brings recent playing experience at a high level, serving as a player-coach in the Women’s Premier Soccer League, where she worked alongside collegiate athletes from NCAA Division I, II, and III programs.
She holds a U.S. Soccer D License and multiple coaching and safety certifications, along with a master’s degree in Special Education from West Virginia University. Her background in education and player development provides a strong foundation for building well-rounded student-athletes.
